Our patients include dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, lizards, snakes, and other pets. We need individuals that are committed to continuing to grow and evolve with their team and the veterinary field. They provide the team with a mentoring program, a proven onboarding plan, growth opportunities, and the best in-house diagnostic tools available. At your fingertips is a full laboratory, endoscopy, laser therapy, PCR-testing, multiple surgical suites, digital dental, CT scan, an expansive ICU unit, and more. Cedar will always evolve to meet the needs of our clients, and that is why we’ve just completed the construction of a new emergency wing. The hospital will now offer both general and emergency care.

At Cedar Animal Hospital, we know the skills of a Licensed Veterinary should be used to their fullest capacity. In order to deliver 24-hour care to our most critical patients, having a well-trained staff is imperative 24 hours a day. If you are driven to make a difference in the lives of people and animals, we would love to have you join our team. Licensed Veterinary Technicians have completed 2-4 years of post-high school education and have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology. They must pass a credentialing examination and keep up-to-date with continuing education to keep their veterinary technician license.
Skills needed for this position:
- Obtain and record patient case histories
- Collect specimens and perform laboratory procedures
- Provide specialized nursing care with or without a doctor present
- Communicate with doctors regarding important patient status updates
- Prepare animals, instruments, and equipment for surgery
- Assist in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures
- Educate animal owners
- Supervise and train veterinary assistants
