Shelby started working at Cedar Animal Hospital in 2023 as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, and just applied to veterinary school to become a doctor. “I decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine because I am passionate about serving my community and improving the lives of animals,” said Shelby. “I love that this profession continuously fuels my intellectual curiosity and makes a difference in the lives of many.”

What does Shelby like about working at Cedar Animal Hospital?

“I like that everyone is so encouraging and eager to teach each other new things,” said Shelby. “I have learned so many valuable skills that will prepare me better for vet school. Also, I like the variety of animals we work with and the challenging cases we solve, along with how efficiently we work together to provide optimal care for our patients.”
