Makenna began working at Cedar Animal Hospital in 2024 as a veterinary assistant. She is studying at Michigan State University, and she plans to graduate in 2028 with a Bachelor of Animal Science/Pre-Veterinarian degree. “I chose this career path because I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember and veterinary medicine allows me to make a difference in the lives of people and animals alike,” explained Makenna.

“I like working at Cedar Animal Hospital because the staff are incredibly welcoming and willing to help,” said Makenna. “I also appreciate that the wellbeing of the animal is always at the forefront of all decisions.”
