Makalah is one of our veterinary assistants. She started at Cedar Animal Hospital in 2022 and came here through link learning at her local high school. She also has done horse camps for six years and has pet-sitting and boarding in her home. “To further my knowledge of animals, I have worked with dogs and horses my entire life,” said Makalah. “I wanted to expand my experience and knowledge with other animals, and I thought working at Cedar Animal Hospital would help with that.”

What does Makalah like about working at Cedar Animal Hospital?

“I like the co-workers and the environment,” she said. “The organization and the people make it a great career. I picked up on and learned quickly due to the other vet assistants and the way they explain your duties.”

Why does Makalah think someone should bring their pet to Cedar Animal Hospital?

“Because our employers care about the animals and the way they are treated,” she explained. “The doctors are good at communicating with clients, and they explain illness to pet parents in a way that is easy to understand. They go above and beyond for the pets and the clients.”
